The DMMOC is an official branch of the MMOC UK National Morris Minor Owners Club. We are a part of, and receive support from the MMOC although we do have our own membership. So, we encourage our members to be paid up members of the MMOC also.

25 April 2023 Moggyfest entries have been processed and the passes etc mailed out today
3 April 2023 Mike Sheppard’s funeral will be at Poole Crematorium on Thursday 20th April at 3pm. It would be nice if some Minors could attend.

You can download your forms and get them sent it to us as soon as you like.

20 February 2022: Some of you may have known Bob Rees who sadly passed away recently. We are now able to pass on the funeral details:

1 November 2020: We are pleased to announce that we have arranged for an end-of-year Mistletoe Meander run on 28 December 2020
Proposed 2020 Mistletoe Meander – Monday 28th December
The committee have decided to organise a COVID safe Mistletoe Meander for your pleasure after a truly awful year!
We will meet at The SEB Club from 11am for a departure at 11:30am. There will be tea and coffee available before the run. After a short run out to a Covid safe open space we will return to the SEB Club for lunch at 1:30pm. Mick at the club has arranged for us to have a sausage and mash meal (vegetarian option available) plus further tea and coffee. All COVID safe measures in force at the time will be taken at the club with no social mixing and masks to be worn indoors unless sitting down to eat. The tables are to be arranged to allow for groups of no more than 6. Obviously, all Track and Trace measures will also be undertaken. We are limited in numbers to a maximum of 60 spread across the 2 meeting rooms so please ensure that you get your booking form returned to Jacky ASAP to avoid disappointment. It will be on a first come first served basis and limited to Branch Members Only. To give everyone a fair chance of having the entry accepted the forms will be available in the November Newsletter and will available online by Saturday 7 November.
2 September 2020: The website is now back, hope not too many of you missed it when it crashed yesterday. Thanks to our IT expert Ian Chivers, it is now up and running again. Please note that the events listing appears as ever, however the chances of the events shown going ahead are slim. Please check with the organisers for latest information.
27 June 2020: It has now been confirmed that the Beaulieu International Autojumble for September 2020 has been cancelled. Hence there will be no opportunity to host the Moggyfest event this year. Entrants will be contacted to find out their refund preferences.
19 March 2020: We have just heard from Beaulieu that the Spring Autojumble has been cancelled. Moggyfest has therefore also been cancelled. We are still awaiting a decsion as to whether Moggyfest can be rescheduled.
19 March 2020: Following the Branch Committee last night, we have decided to cancel the events planned for April and May. A decision on the Beaulieu Moggyfest event is still pending. Updates will be posted on this page to convey any further changes. Those members on the email list will receive update mailings.

16 March 2020: CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMIC There are no changes to our plans for club activities at the present time, but we will put a notice on this page and on our Facebook page if the situation changes regarding the next Clubnight on April 1.
19 November 2019: Ian’s cremation took place yesterday in a private ceremony. There will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday 26th November at 1130 at The Woodlands Burial Ground, BH23 7EJ (as above) If any club members would like to attend, the dress code is ‘casual’ no black ties and a few Morris Minors would be appreciated. Donations to Macmillan in lieu of flowers please.
11 November 2019: We were sorry to hear that our past Chairman, Ian Meakin passed away recently. The Branch sends its condolences to Rita and family.
Ian Meakin’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 26th November at 1130 at The Woodlands Burial Ground, BH23 7EJ
1st February 2019: We were saddened to learn of the death of long-term Branch member, Maggie Gardner. She was a regular at the summer shows in her big Vauxhall or her Morris Traveller. Her funeral is at St Lukes, Sway SO41 6AD, on 22 March 2019 at 10:45 followed by a wake at the Hare and Hounds in Sway (SO41 6AL).
8 February 2019: The venue for the Branch Rally in July has now been confirmed as Wolvercroft Garden Centre in Alderholt, near Fordingbridge. There is an entry form on the Branch Rally page (and Events).
6 February 2019: The Barn Dance planned for 22 February has had to be cancelled due to lack of participants. If you have already paid, see Jacky Wood for a refund.
14 January 2019: We have just heard that Branch Member Robert Jenkinson passed away last February. His wife has only just told us. He was a fairly regular at the clubnights and the Beaulieu auto jumble in his smoke grey 2 door with Rostyle wheels.

22nd December 2017: As you may know, Keith Adams of the Hampshire Branch passed away on Tuesday 19th December. Keith (57) was a well known member of the club and known to many of our members here in the Dorset Branch. He was a familiar face in the Morris Minor Autojumble scene and was often seen teamed up with Giles on the trade stand (right – at a National Rally a year or two ago). The Branch offers its condolences to his family and friends.
The Funeral will be held on Wednesday January 10th at 1:00 pm at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, West End, SO30 2HL and afterwards at the ‘Robin Hood’ pub at Durley (SO32 2AA) Please let David Grice (02380 872609) know if you wish to attend the wake (for catering purposes). Please come along in your Morris Minor if possible.
1st November 2017: Just a reminder to bring your photos along tonight for the clubnight competition and your entries for the Dinner and Dance and the Mistletoe Meander. We are also presenting the charity fund raising cheque for £300 to the Kinson Coommunity Centre tonight. 22nd September 2017 Today we learnt of the passing of another of our members. Keith Young passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday 19th September. The funeral will be on October 2nd at Poole Crematorium at 1:30pm. Those wishing to attend in classic cars will be most welcome. Meet up at 99 Rossmore Road, BH12 3HN for a 1:00 departure. The Branch sends its condolences to Sandra and Alex.

18th August 2017: Bruce Eggleton: Today, we received a letter from Bruce’s wife advising us that he died earlier this week. At this stage we have no more information but we will pass it on when we receive it.
2nd June 2017, Alan Shepherd: Alan’s funeral will be held at Bournemouth crematorium, Friday 9th June at 11am and then after at the Hurn Sports and Social Club.
